What to see in Baku?

You came to Baku, Azerbaijan for 2 or 3 days? And you want to see most of the sightseeing as possible? Here is guide for you where you can go.

So, you see lots of names and how to plan them? Here is itinerary for you to arrange your own tour:

First day:

Early morning come to Old City, make your breakfast at traditional restaurant and walk about 2 hours.

From there walk to the Baku Boulevard and take boat to have a cruise on Caspian Sea. Ticket price is 2 manat per person. But we recommend to take VIP tickets which costs 10 manat per person. Because the place for VIPs is on second stage and there is more comfortable.

Then you can walk to Baku Funicular and pay 1 manat for going up and to see the view of Baku. That place calls Baku Highland Park. 

After that take a taxi and come to Haydar Aliyev Centre. Take ticket for full museum which costs 15 manat per person. 

Great, your first day is very successful and you visited most of places. At the end of the day it will be pleasant to come to the Nizami street (former and known name is Targovy) to walk on the street, to see the shops, cafes and enjoy the evening of Baku.

Second day:

For second day it is recommended to have guide and driver with you.


LUNCH INCLUDED! - Full day tour Qobustan + Mud Vulcano + Ateshgah + Yanardag (Fire Mountain) Tour

Travel to Qobustan which is 65 km away from Baku city centre and driving will take about 50 minutes to reach there.

Qobustan musuem costs 5 manat per person. Visit the museum and rock art, then come to see the Mud Vulcanos. For Mud Vulcano you will need to take "Lada" cars because of off roads to the Mud Vulcano.  Total it will be about 20 km ride to Mud Vulcano and back to the Qobustan and will cost about 20-25 manat.

Then come back to the city centre and take a lunch. Because you will be very hungry after Qobustan. By the way if you will take a tour from us you can have free local cuisine lunch.

After lunch continue with Ateshgah Fire Temple. Musuem ticket costs 4 manat per person.

Fire Mountain is about 25 km far from Ateshgah Fire Temple. Ticket price is  2 manat per person.

And for the third day you can visit Quadrangular Mardakan Castle and Gala Etnographic Museum which are near to each other by territory, Mardakan Castle does not have any official payment fee. You can give 3 manat per person to the person who is care about this castle. 

To the Gala Etnographic Musuem the ticket fee is 5 manat per person.

After this itinerary you can say that you saw most of places of Baku and you got lots of new information about history and culture of Azerbaijan.
