Xinaliq village or Khinaluq
is the most ancient village of Azerbaijan and it is the highest village in Europe. The citizens of this village claim that they are descendants of Noah. Khinaluq people are also one of tribes of Ancient Caucasus Albanian Country which were existed in III-IV BC. The population of Khinaluq speaks their own language which is Ketch ("Kətiş" in Azerbaijani).
Khinaluq village locates in the middle of the Greater Caucasus mountains that divide Russia and the South Caucasus. While driving to Khunaliq you will be mesmerized with the view to the Caucasus Mountains.
Here is itinerary of Kunaliq Village tour:
-09:00 - Pick up from hotel
-Stop at "Besh-barmaq Dag"
-Qachrash forest
-Masdargah: stop for a rest, and visit the waterfall
-Eagle Height: with a clear view of flying Eagles in Northern Caucasus skies.
-Qudyalchay Canyon
-Lunch (served in a local house in Khinalug)
-Exploring the village with a visit to the Khinalug museum and mosque
-Back to Baku / Drop off to the hotel
