This is full day tour of Azerbaijan cuisine and history.

This excursion will open for you the world of the richest Azerbaijani cuisine and will acquaint you with its main components. You will find a rich gastronomic journey through the Old City, the colorful Baku bazaar and you will have the best lunch. For one day you will learn new shades of flavors, try local delicacies, the most delicious lamb or sturgeon, fragrant wines, countless spices and dried fruits. As a result, you will get to know the original culture of Azerbaijan through its national cuisine!

Itinerary

The plan of the day:

Breakfast in the Old Town
Your acquaintance with the gastronomic culture of Azerbaijan in the Old City will begin with a traditional breakfast consisting of rustic oil, cheese, honey, hot freshly baked in tandyr cakes, tea or coffee.
1 hour Old City tour with our guide.
Test a local wine in Old City.

Azerbaijani color in the eastern bazaar
You will visit one of the oldest Baku bazaars, where I will tell you about the specifics of Azerbaijani cuisine, its main ingredients and characteristic spices, national and regional dishes. In the market you can penetrate deeper into the world of oriental cuisine, and also taste and buy all kinds of spices, dried fruits, fresh Caspian black caviar, exclusive varieties of Azerbaijani tea and much more.

Lunch time
After a short walk, we will stop for lunch at traditional restaurant, where you will taste kebabs, qutab, shah-plov, 2 kind of dolma and other traditional Azerbaijani dishes as well.
After the lunch you will get traditional Azerbaijani tea with Baku pakhlava, as locals do.

At the end of our tasty tour we will visit to the highland park where we will have the best view to Baku. And we will drop off to your hotel.
