Lucian_View15/12/2024Verified Unforgettable Journey Through Azerbaijan's History and Nature: Exceptional Service and Seamless Experience This tour was the best insight one could get into Azerbaijani history and nature within one week. The company AzerbayjanGuide.az is highly professional and responsive. They have an ample offer of tours of varying duration. Some tours state that they need to be paid by cash; I requested payment by card and was promptly sent a user-friendly link. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended! GoPlaces3116388055419/11/2024Verified Driver in Baku We hired a driver for our business trip to Baku - he exceeded all expectations The company with informative, reliable and trustworthy Couldn’t have wished for a better service Maurizio D08/11/2024Verified Best company, unforgettable experience I took a tailored tour around Azerbaijan (Baku and surroundings, Sheki, Quba, several viaalges) combined with a tour to Nakhchivan. Artunj, the manager, was able to organise everything on the highest level and found highly-knowledgeable guides, Elvin, Mubariz and Sama. Artunj was also able to rearrange everything when I was made to postpone my flight.Azerbaijan is a country with rich history and beautiful nature, a bit off the beaten track but worth a visit beyond any doubt. I highly recommend visiting less known places, such as Sheki, Quba and especially Nakhchivan, the largest (and the most beautiful) exclave in the world. I can wholeheartedly recommend Azerbaijanguide.az as a company, where your requests will be fulfilled and attended to and the country itself as one of the most amazing places I have ever visited! Chandan Paul17/10/2024Verified A week full of fun in Azarbaijan What a lovely Trip we had in Azarbaijan Organized by Ertunc, each day was planned carefully keeping in mind the excitement as well as leisure time, both the hotels in Baku and Qabala were Superb, Also both Ertunc and our tour guide were available always on beck and call, overall we enjoyed a lot and a hassle free experience HCovik05/10/2024Verified 9 Day Private Azarbaijan and Georgia Tour We arranged our trip through Tourradar and Artunj, our tour manager did a great job communicating with us.Elvin was our very knowledgeable driver and guide during our stay in Azarbaijan. He proudly and thoroughly explained the local cultures, foods, religions and history to us. We enjoyed the contrast between old an new in Baku. The old city is interestng and very walkable and we particularly enjoyed the beautiful Carpet Museum and modern Haydar Aliyev Art Museum. The city has a strong connection with oil and is surrounded by oil refineries. As a matter of fact we visited the world's oldest commercial oil well right outside of Baku. A side trip to a mud volcano was quite an experience racing and bouncing over dirt roads in a Russian Lada.Another highlight was a sidetrip to Qobustan National Park and excellent Petroglyphs Rock Art Museum with Homo Sapiens and Neanderthal rock carvings. Some other visits were to historic Lahic village with quaint cobblestone streets and the ancient Atashgah Zoroastran Fire Temple. Sheki is an interesting and beautiful city in the Caucuses mountains. Especially interesting was our visit to the Stained Glass Workshop at the palace of the Sheki Khans. We loved our ride through the mountains to the mountain village of Kish with its very narrow streets to visit the ancient Albanian church. On our way to the Georgian border we stopped at the lovely. but smallish, Mamirli (mossy) waterfall, involving another exciting car ride along a rocky road/stream bed.Arriving at the Georgian border Elvin helpfully waited to make sure we made it accross. Once across we knew we arrived in the country were wine originated about 8000 years ago as our driver's first action was to drop us off at a winery for some wine tasting. This would not be our last opportunity. The city of Tiblisi reminded us of some southern European cities with its cobblestoned streets and balconies. The city feels very inviting and Nino our guide made us feel at home. She toured the city with us and shared her extensive knowledge of her country and was more than willing to answer all our questions as odd as they may have been. With Nino we visited a traditional bakery for some wonderful breads as well as Bodbe's St. Nino 's Convent Cathedral. After that to Sinaghi to walk the old city wall. And, of course, wine tasting and more wine tasting and, let's not forget the Chacha, the Georgian wine wodka akin to the Italian grappa. Georgian wines are very fresh and tasty both red and white and are made Georgian style (a process involving pressing whole grapes) or European style. Our last visit was to a family winery in a very beautiful setting for some more tasting and explaining of processes and special tools involved. In closing we want to thank our guides Elvin and Nina for sharing their knowledge and love for their cultures, language and history with us. Accommodations and their locations were very good. We especially loved the very fresh traditional foods. One important reminder though. Bring comfortable shoes. Both Elvin and Nino will be mindful of your mobility, but no matter, it will enhance your experiences.Lastly, we recommend Tourradar. We've used them before.Enjoy your travels.
