Baku`s transport system.

The area of Baku is about 285 square kilometers. And it is rapidly growing. The official population is more than 2 million. But unofficially it is more than 4 million. The traffic jam in Baku starts early morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am. And the next rush time starts from 5 pm to 8 pm. 

Baku has the following transport types: Baku Metro and Baku Bus. One way in a radius of 10 kilometers costs 0.40 manat or 40 qəpik (coin version of manat). And it can increase over a long distance. You need to purchase Baku carts from transport terminals and you can use them both for metro or for buses. The card price is 2 manat. 

These cards are also available for shuttle service at the Airport. But the price for the Airport is 1.30 manat.
